God’s Embrace
Price: POA
Artist: Jenny Merwyn
“Within the captivating canvas of ‘God’s Embrace,’ a woman sits, her body gently embracing her knees, a symbol of introspection and vulnerability. She is an embodiment of the universal journey of self-discovery, a path marked by the inherent solitude of motherhood, and the necessary pilgrimage toward spiritual connection with the Divine—the profound embrace of God’s presence.”

My Boy
Price: POA
Artist: Jenny Merwyn
“‘My Boy’ is a poignant addition to a series dedicated to cherished children and loved ones who left us too soon, a heartfelt remembrance captured on canvas. This painting delicately embodies the dreams and playfulness of childhood—the essence of youth that lives on in our hearts.
It is a testament to the hopes and aspirations of parents who, with empty arms, keep the memory of their child alive through art. This work is a reflection of what could have been, a dream forever etched in the canvas, capturing the fleeting moments of a life unlived but profoundly remembered. ‘My Boy’ is a beautiful memory, a dream unforgotten.”

Gilded Grace: The Art of Inner Peace
* SOLD
Price: POA
Artist: Jenny Merwyn
“In ‘Gilded Grace: The Art of Inner Peace,’ an abstract female figure takes centre stage, her form defined by the interplay of copper and gold hues, bathed in the radiant glow of sunlight. With her head resting gently on her arm as she embraces her knees, her posture evokes a sense of quiet introspection and self-discovery. The subtle resemblance to the foetal position symbolizes a rebirth, not of physical life, but of inner serenity.

My Girl
Price: POA
Artist: Jenny Merwyn
“This scribble art drawing was initially a gift for my husband. It was the 25th Anniversary of our baby girl Therese born sleeping. Approx 4 years after her death I had a dream of her running in a field in a little dress with curly hair. This is the first of a series of scribble art drawings enlarged as a print on canvas to represent the connection with our children but also remembering that they have been entrusted to us to care for, they don’t ‘belong’ to us.”

Claiming her Cloak of Strength
Price: POA
Artist: Jenny Merwyn
“In Claiming her Cloak of Strength, a woman’s side profile is seen as a striking embodiment of grace and power. Her shoulders are draped with a tapestry of flowers, painted in vivid colour that flows into streaks of gold, white and pink and orange like a cloak. Orange represents optimism, confidence, enthusiasm for life invoking a sense of vibrant life and energy. With her hair elegantly pulled back in a loose bun, she stands poised and determined as if ready to face the world with confidence and resilience. This painting embodies the fusion of strength and beauty.”

Bridge to My Soul – The Raglan footbridge
Price: POA
Artist: Jenny Merwyn
“Inspired by the old footbridge in Raglan. I wanted to capture the flow of the water and the colors. So often in the business of life, I don’t get to enjoy the beach on the other side. “

Veil of the Raglan Bridge
Price: POA
Artist: Jenny Merwyn
“”In ‘Veil of the Raglan Bridge,’ nature’s ethereal dance takes centre stage as the mist gently rises, veiling the landscape in a shroud of uncertainty. The distant trees emerge as mere suggestions, their forms partially concealed by the ever-shifting mists, just as life’s path often obscures its next steps. This tidal terrain, where the flow of water mirrors the ever-changing tides of existence, serves as a powerful metaphor for the human experience.”

Sacre Cœur
Price: POA
Artist: Jenny Merwyn
“‘Sacre Cœur’ is a visual tribute to my 2020 lockdown journey, a time of artistic exploration guided by the inspiration of windows. My creative voyage began with a reminiscence of my visit to the Sacre Cœur in Paris, a magnificent French Cathedral renowned for its breathtaking windows. I was utterly captivated by the play of colours and the sheer grandeur of the cathedral’s-stained glass.”

Misty Skies Sunset
* SOLD
Price: POA
Artist: Jenny Merwyn
“In ‘Misty Skies Sunset,’ the canvas becomes a gateway to a breathtaking moment in time, as if the clock stands still and the world itself pauses to witness the beauty of the setting sun. This artwork is a tribute to those rare instances when a sunset leaves us frozen in time, evoking a sensation as if time itself evaporates.”
Gazing at this misty skies sunset, one feels a profound connection with the changing scenery, where each moment seems to unfold in perfect harmony. It’s a reminder of the power of nature to transport us to a realm where time momentarily suspends its relentless march, allowing us to catch our breath and be recharged to continue our journey.”

Dreaming of the Amalfi Coast
Price: POA
Artist: Jenny Merwyn
“Dreaming of the Amalfi Coast” started off as an intuitive artwork. Once I had added the cobalt blue I was reminded of the Mediterranean. Although I got to see some parts of Italy, I haven’t seen the Amalfi Coast. I have images of the Amalfi Coast that I have saved and looked at for a long time. These became my inspiration for this painting. I wanted the buildings to be colour and line rather than a realistic shape so that the water of the Mediterranean is the main focus. When I think of Italy, I think of the beautiful colours of the buildings, so different from here. For now I continue to dream of the Amalfi Coast and one day I will get to see it.”

Broken Hashtags
Price: POA
Artist: Jenny Merwyn
“Broken Hashtags reflects the allure and delusion of social media, where both the younger generation and adults are lured into curated boxes of false happiness. The vibrant colours and deceitful smiles hide a complex reality. With hashtags like #winning and #livingmybestlife, a fictional narrative is woven, challenging the truth of the lives they thought they were living. This artwork prompts reflection on how society portrays idealized lives through the lens of social media. However, in the end, the light of awareness breaks through, prompting a realization that transcends the illusion.”
