Jenny Merwyn was born in Sydney Australia and after the birth of her second child moved to New Zealand in 2000. She is currently a Cosmetic Tattoo artist and is a Life coach. As her five children have now become adults, she is able to focus on her creative love of art. She has been heavily influenced by the Impressionists and the Australian Indigenous People.
Since early 2022 she has been attending classes with artist Mari Moore who helped to stretch what she thought she was capable of. She has a passion for lines and colour. Lines in nature, lines in the Human body and architectural lines. Without her glasses on, the world is a mix of colour that smudges and blends. Using mixed media, acrylic and ink to tell a story. Inspired by people wanting to buy her art, she is wanting to spend more time expressing herself on a canvas in different mediums.
